Microsoft will go the battle with competitors like Google Docs. The company is going to offer its Office software in a free version on the web.
The company announced that on Monday at a conference in New Orleans when it presented Microsoft Office 2010, the new Office flagship.
The package, which includes a word processor, spreadsheets and presentation software, will be available online for free for the 400 million Windows Live users.
