Videosite Youtube will stop supporting the Internet Explorer 6 web browser. This will be mentioned to visitors that are still using this browser.
The site will probably no longer function correctly when it is viewed with IE6. Youtube advises visitors to upgrade to the newest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome. The latter is - just like Youtube - a product of the Google Internet company.
Internet Explorer 6 came on to the market in 2001 as the newest version of Microsofts browser. Since then there have appeared two newer version, IE7 en IE8. The strongly outdated IE6 is however still widely used.
